About this event

2025 HMCCQ Girder Fork Rally
Lowood Showgrounds 26-27 April 2025

April 25 2025 ANZAC Day activities, leading into the
2025 Girder Fork Rally.

With the 41st Annual HMCCQ Girder Fork Rally for 2025 running on Saturday 26 April and Sunday 27 April, has Friday 25th April being the ANZAC Day Memorial Public Holiday.

In 2024 as part of a planned early arrival prior to the Girder Fork Rally, a number of HMCCQ Club Members took the opportunity to attended and displayed a mix of historic military and civilian motorcycles whilst attending the Dawn Service at the Lowood ANZAC Memorial Wall, before enjoying a short ride to a fantastic gold coin donation ‘Gun Fire Breakfast’ at the Lowood RSL Sub-branch with a further display of the bikes and ANZAC Day activities.

We were all greatly received by the Dignitaries, RSL Sub-Branch leadership and the broad public who all were greatly appreciative of our involvement and support for such a significant part of our cultural history.

Having approached the Somerset Regional Council and the Lowood RSL Sub-Branch we have been warmly welcomed back to attend the 2025 ANZAC Day Dawn Service and the ‘Gun Fire Breakfast’ and keen to see an expanded display from the HMCCQ, especially if we are able to display more historic military motorcycles, although the civilian bikes held just as much attention.

It would be great to see all eras of club eligible military bikes as part of the displays, especially if a few of the Veteran and Vintage bikes can be involved.

To follow on from the morning activities there will be a short afternoon ride to the Bottle Tree Hotel at Glamorgan Vale, for a further public display and joining the hotel patrons in a few more of the traditional ANZAC Day activities.

Registration would be appreciated. Would be a great lead in to be part of the Girder Fork Rally weekend.
